Curious Minds empowers girls who are passionate and have high potential in STEM to explore their full potential.

Curious Minds – girls in STEM is an eight-month hands-on extension and mentoring program for girls in years 8 and 9, who have limited opportunities because of where they live, including regional and remote locations, their socio-economic background, and/or their indigenous status.

Curious Minds first started in 2015 with funding received from the Australian Federal Government, and with their ongoing support, the program continues to create a positive impact. The program has been delivered to more than 860 students across Australia, helping to develop a bond between students and their STEM Coaches, explore STEM study and career pathways, and build the confidence of our future STEM stars.

The Curious Minds initiative is funded by the Commonwealth Department of Education, under the Women’s Economic Security Package 2018. The program is c0-delivered by Australian Maths Trust and Australian Science Innovations. Thank you to our university partners, the University of Adelaide and the Australian National University.
